Time for a change

Life was just cranking along, school stuff for the kids, ramping up for spring portraits, planning a road trip to Florida for spring break, just the normal stuff. No creativity, no personal work, just maintaining.

I fell into a rut, and got stuck there, wallowing in my own crapulence.

Then comes along Covid-19, and everything comes to a stop, no more socializing, no more school, life as we know has changed. I’m not complaining, the stress of having to go do things, melts away. Now the stress of keeping sane at home, canceling trips and outings, canceling scheduled portrait sessions and moving weddings…. and of course making sure all the bills get paid.

Time to change, to adapt to the new normal.  So just do it, take that leap, chug that venti peppermint mocha, or Souther Tier Nitro Hot Coco, listen to hardcore at 11, because 10 is just not loud enough.

So I shut down my old website, closed my wordpress account and switched everything over to Squarespace.  Time to simplify and create a workflow that doesn’t make me cringe. Time to create content that is dear to me. I may even try new things, like video, who knows.

It’s time to get back to creating for the sake of creating.
