Senior Portrait FAQ’s
What are the best locations for my senior portrait session?
Any location especially if it has meaning for you. It could be your home, local park where you like to hike, local ski mountain, where you play your favorite sport, anywhere really.
I need a studio image for my yearbook photo, but also want outdoor pictures, how do we do this?
Studio portraits can be done at your home with my portable studio. They usually take a total of 15 minutes of your time and are a separate session from your regular session.
When should I book my senior portrait session?
Anytime during and after your Junior school year. I offer multiple sessions for those who would like sessions in different seasons of the year based on their activities.
What should I wear to my senior portrait session?
Pick clothing that is appropriate for the weather and conforms to your school’s rules for yearbook images. Bring several layers of clothing that compliment each other, they can help keep you comfortable when the weather changes and they offer subtle changes to your look for more variety of images.
How quickly can we see our pictures?
After your session, I’ll go through and share a couple of teasers with you. During the next 2 weeks I will go through all the images to complete the editing process we will set up a date to review your images. Then they will be posted in your private online gallery,
How many pictures do you deliver? Can we have all of them?
The number of images I deliver varies, because each session is unique. Most sessions are an average of 30 or more images, there are many factors that contribute to the final number: hours of coverage, number of locations and clothing changes.
What comes with our portrait session?
Each standard session includes an hour of photographic time, one image file download and image file for yearbook submittal. All prints and products are available for purchase and come with image file used for that print. If you aren’t ready for prints to hang on your wall, I offer file only purchases as well.
What if the weather is not cooperating?
Heavy rain, strong wind, snowstorms, are all reasons to take cover and reschedule our session. I keep a keen eye on the weather the week before our session to ensure we have the best lighting and conditions for our session. If for any reason that I believe that the weather will not cooperate, I will contact you within 48 hrs of our session to discuss options.
Who submits my senior portrait to my school?
After you have chosen your image for your yearbook, I will edit to the specifications for your school. Then your image will be sent to you and your parents for submittal.
How much are your portrait sessions?
On location portrait session at location of your choice start at $500.
Your senior's session will include:
-Session
-Four full resolution files
-Gallery app of proofs to share with friends from your phone
-One 8x10 framed portrait
